It didn't mop however, and its removable cleaning pads were difficult to attach and couldn't cope with dried-on dirt.

Its app is a little basic with no advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It works with Alexa however its voice commands don't seem to be very intuitive or responsive. It's also a little erratic when it returns to the charging station following the course. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow the previous route, but the RX3 bumbles around until it gives up.

Another issue we faced was with its clever features, specifically the mapping function and digital keep-out zones. It was effective in keeping our furniture legs and shoes away however it could easily get hung up on cables, socks, and rugs. We didn't include the Scout RX3 in our Best Buy list. Still, with a decent price and a dazzling performance it's a Scout RX3 is worth considering when you're looking for a smarter alternative to traditional uprights.
